WCF Tier 3 2020

(in full, the World Croquet Federation’s Golf Croquet World Team Championship Tier 3)

This competition was originally scheduled to happen in 2020 but twice had to be postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. It will now happen in July 2022 at GGCC. The contest is expected to involve 4 nations – Czechia, Iran, Mexico and Portugal – with each national team playing a one-day match against each of the other nations. Broadly, the schedule will be as follows.

Wednesday 20 July

Teams arrive 1030, introduction to the tournament, free practice, lunch, masterclass on tactics and practice routines (led by Stephen Mulliner) lasting about 90 minutes, free practice until 1900, as required.

Thursday 21 July

Test Match 1. Teams to arrive at 0900, play to start 0930

Friday 22 July

Test Match 2. Teams to arrive at 0900, play to start 0930

Saturday 23 July

Test Match 3. Teams to arrive at 0900, play to start 0930. Play to finish about 1830, followed by prize-giving. An end-of-tournament dinner will be held in the evening at a local pub.
