Vernon Salt won PJ’s Pot

12 club members contested GGCC’s heat of the GC All-England handicap competition on May 20th, in a mixture of rain and sunshine. Outstanding performance of the day came from Vernon Salt (handicap 10), who won all six games in his first tournament and claimed PJ’s Pot in the process .Runner- up Sarah Patton (handicap 6) and 3rd placed Andrew Lockwood (handicap 6) qualified alongside Vernon to progress to an area final. Vernon’s future opponents will be relieved to hear that his handicap has been reduced to 9.
